Northwest Airlines

Got us safely to beautiful NYC, NY.  My wife, a blond haired green eyed Canuck, was singled out for "random searches" twice.  But all in all, we got through security with minor delays and no problems.  I wonder if the same will be true when we try and leave NYC on Sunday?

Memphis is a major hub for NWA, and we connected there from Baton Rouge.  Usually the Memphis airport is packed (it has outgrown its infrastructure, and needs a facility upgrade), but it was a ghost town today.  I will try and post a couple of photos when we get back from dinner (Thai noodles, perhaps?  Good Italian food, who knows.  The food is the one thing I really miss about NYC).

It was eerie, coming over the BQE, looking south, and seeing empty sky where the towers used to be.  I am going to head downtown tomorrow or Thursday for some photos, and I may head over to the Promenade in Brooklynn to see what kind of views there might be.

Like I mention above, this is definitely NOT normal for this airport, although I rarely fly through there on a Tuesday morning, which I guess could be a part of the reason it is so empty.
