American Realpolitik

Has lots of great stuff up today. Including the story of an Iraqi defector who was handed over to Saddam's henchmen by the UN investigators he was approaching for help.

Boy, I'm sure any scientists who were thinking about talking to the UN sure changed their mind after THAT little demonstration. Could these guys do anything more to make Saddam's job any easier? What a bunch of maroons.

Lot's of good blogosphere headlines generated by this incident. My favorite is from the Spoons Experience (who came out of retirement to comment - I knew I shouldn't delete him from my blogroll):

UN INSPECTORS MURDER IRAQI DEFECTOR, FAMILY

While your in the American RealPolitik 'hood, be sure and catch this brilliant piece of photoshop artistry. I'm not sure who did it, but it's fantastic.

Blix's people aren't even trying to hide which side they are on anymore. It seems they couldn't find their own ass with both hands and a dog team. The leaked reports say that Blix is going to give Saddam an A for complience, if true that finally puts the last nail in the coffin of the UN's crediblity.

I hope that when he gives the UN the finger, our president puts out in explicit detail everything we have on the UN's dirty dealing. All the intercepts, documents, video, everthing. These guys think we can't listen in on their phone calls? Christpher Hitchens has said that some of the team members are now on Saddam's payroll. How embaressing will it be when Swiss bank accounts become public?
